A International Moy Yat Ving Tsun Federation foi fundada em 1996 sob a orientação do Patriarca Moy Yat. Esta federação representa a união das famílias que preservam o seu legado.

The International Moy Yat Ving Tsun Federation was founded in 1996 under the guidance of the Patriarch Moy Yat. This federation represents the union of the families that safeguard his legacy. 

Quando o Patriarca Moy Yat estava vivo, a Denominação Moy Yat Ving Tsun passou a representar o seu compromisso com os seus descendentes quanto ao acesso apropriado ao Sistema Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) por meio da Vida Kung Fu, que consiste num processo de transmissão peculiar de evidente  importância para o desenvolvimento do Kung Fu.

When the Patriarch Moy Yat was still alive, the Designation Moy Yat Ving Tsun came to represent his commitment to his descendants over the proper access to the Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) System through King Fu Life, which consists in a unique process of transmission of noticeable importance for the development of Kung Fu.

Após seu falecimento, essa denominação passou a caracterizar sua linhagem a partir do momento que seus descendentes passaram a assumir esse compromisso.

After his passing, this designation came to distinguish his lineage from the moment that his descendants came to accept such commitment.

Então, tendo a Vida Kung Fu como um modo de acesso ao Sistema Ving Tsun (Wing Chun), estaremos preservando aquilo que talvez seja uma das grandes preciosidades da cultura chinesa, ou seja, o Kung Fu.

Therefore, having the Kung Fu Life as a way to access the Ving Tsun System (Wing Chun), we would be preserving that which is perhaps one of the greatest preciousness of the Chinese culture, in other words, Kung Fu. 

Ao contrário do que muitos pensam, Kung Fu não é apenas um termo genérico para as artes marciais chinesas. Tal expressão remonta a 300 A.C, herdada da tradição confuciana. Sendo assim, trata-se de uma habilidade adquirida em qualquer ramo de atividade, estando atrelada ao desenvolvimento humano. 

In contrast to what many think, Kung Fu is not only a generic term for Chinese martial arts. Such expression goes back to 300 B.C, as it was inherited from the Confucian tradition. Thereby, it consists of a skill acquired in any area of activity, being linked to human development. 

Kung Fu não pode ser ensinado, somente aprendido, e muitas vezes quando aprendido não se percebe que aprendeu. Tanto que o sinólogo francês François Jullien o chama de investimento paciente. Mas como dizia o Patriarca Moy Yat: “á medida que você necessita utilizar o Kung Fu, ele irá aparecer, e assim você perceberá que aprendeu".

Kung Fu cannot be taught, only learned, and, many times, when learned, one doesn’t realize he learned. So much that the French sinologist François Jullien calls it “patient investment”. But as the Patriarch Moy Yat used to say: ”as you need to use the Kung Fu, it will show up, and then you’ll realize you’ve learned.”

Como não se pode ser ensinado, logo precisa-se de um sistema. Já dizia o Patriarca Moy Yat: "Kung Fu sem sistema não é Kung Fu e Kung Fu que depende de um sistema não é bom Kung Fu”. Ou seja, seu aprendizado será através de um sistema.

Since it can’t be taught, then, it needs a system. As was said by the Patriarch Moy Yat: “Kung Fu without a system it’s not Kung Fu, Kung Fu that depends on a system it’s not a good Kung Fu.”

Portanto, o Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) é um sistema para o desenvolvimento do Kung Fu.

É importante dizer que ele é apenas indicativo, uma referência. Por isso, precisa-se de um modo apropriado de acesso: a Vida Kung Fu.

Therefore, Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) is a system for the development of Kung Fu. It’s important to mention that the system is merely suggestive, it’s a reference. That’s why it needs an appropriate way of access: the Kung Fu Life.
